For my first post, I’ll share with you a list of books on creativity that I’ve read over the years. I highly recommend them.

Flow by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
Flow is about the psychology of optimal experience, something the author calls “flow”: a joyous state characterized by an intense personal involvement with the task at hand, a rush of creativity, and an experience of unmatchable pleasure.

Creativity by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
Creativity is about the psychology of creativity and invention. It examines a bunch of creative personalities in a wide range of fields, looking for commonalities, traits, and lessons to learn. The writing style is pretty formal, but it’s a fascinating read.

Art & Fear by David Bayles & Ted Orland
This little book is about the nagging fear that lurks in the back of every artist’s mind. You’ll learn how to better deal with rejection and criticism (and the fear of those things).
